Carolyn Elaine WrightCarolyn Elaine Wright is currently Program Manager for Scholarships for Parents Advancing Choice in Education, Inc., a public non-profit organization which is committed to develop and sustain a partnership with families to help them provide quality educational opportunities for their children.

As one who believes in servant leadership, Carolyn has served more than 30 years in the public sector. A native of Dayton, OH, Ms. Wright obtained her educational training at Wright State University, receiving both her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administrations degrees. She additionally attained the Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification.

The majority of her career has been in higher education in various positions. She was a founding student and later Director of the Bolinga, Black Cultural Resources Center at Wright State University. Upon leaving Wright State, she accepted a position as Assistant Professor in the College of Business at Central State University, teaching in the fields of management and finance. She then decided to transition from academia to administration holding such administrative posts as Director of Materials Management, and Executive Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development. She transitioned to the City of Dayton organization and served in the areas of purchasing, tax auditing, and financial services/customer service in the area of Finance. Retiring in 2002, Ms. Wright began her second career in the nonprofit arena with Camp Fire USA and Parents Advancing Choice in Education while continuing to serve as an adjunct professor in the College of Business & Industry at the CSU Dayton campus.

An avid community volunteer, Ms. Wright has served on numerous community boards. Some of her involvement has included Past President and Emeritus Board Member of the Mary Scott Nursing Center and presently Chair of the Endowment Committee; Past President, Dayton Chapter of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators; Past Secretary of the Council of Presidents of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators; Committee member Dayton Urban League Capital Campaign 2003-2005. Currently, Secretary of the Greater Dayton Youth Golf Academy Board; President and founding member of the African American Alumni Society, Wright State University; member of the Wright State University Alumni Board of Directors; member Advisory Board Montgomery County Mentoring Collaborative; member Advisory Board Bolinga , Black Cultural Resources Center, Wright State University; Vice President Andrews Family Union.

A recipient of several awards: Legacy Award Mary Scott Nursing Center 2007; Distinguished Alumni Award by Organization of Black Faculty and Staff, Wright State University 2005; African American Alumni Society Award of Excellence 2004. Other affiliations include: Deborah Chapter #19 Order of the Eastern Star; Amer Court #65 Daughter of Isis; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; Dayton Urban League.
